The main motorcycle ride of the Pineola Python 181 runs from Linville North Carolina to Morganton North Carolina and back up the mountain. The Pineola Python 181 motorcycle ride has 185 curves, 76 miles of twists and turns, passing lanes going north or south on the highway, the Brown Mountain Lights Overlook, several off road pull offs, waterfall hikes, back country campgrounds sites, gas stations, restaurants, RV campgrounds, live music and more. The PineolaPython181 boasts a kick butt ride, and elevation change of over 2000 feet and beautiful mountain landscapes and views no matter what season.

The ride takes you down 181 and through downtown Morganton past the courthouse. You will see a great place to stop and get a beer Hillman Brewing Company which caters to bikers and car enthusiasts. They have many selections of beer on tap and picnic tables outside to enjoy the great weather. The ride then turns around and heads back up route 181. If you are hungry and want a great lunch or dinner try Greenway Pizza for authentic Italian pizza and entrees. A little further down is AJ FAmily Steakhouse across from Walmart at the light before you head back up the mountainto the High Country and back to The Mountain Boomer.

The PineolaPython181.com motorcycle ride starts and ends at, “The Mountain Boomer” right across from the Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 312. The Mountain Boomer serves slow cooked pulled port, smoked wings, beer, serving bar, live music, clean bathrooms and plenty of seating inside and out. Plenty of parking so your group can gather before and after the ride.
