How many scenic overlooks are on the Blue Ridge Parkway?

There are approximately 280 pullouts along the Blue Ridge Parkway, many of which are designed to offer travelers a scenic view. Not all overlooks provide views of mountains and valleys, as some are viewing areas for creeks and lakes.
